The Association of Energy Trading is a voluntary, self-governing and apolitical non-profitable association created at the end of 2003. At the beginning of 2004, a permantent set of governing bodies representing the Association was created: the General Assembly, the Executive Board and the Internal Audit Commission. During the first meeting of the General Assembly, decisions were taken on the plan of action for the Association, on the internal codes of operation, and on the financial plan and budget for 2004.
According to the Statute, the main tasks of the Association are as follows:

We present our opinions concerning all legal acts presented by the government, as well as prepare our own solutions aimed at the approximation of the Polish energy market to the international standards of free trade in energy.
